The practice of 10 + 2 schooling will no longer exist, the government has made major changes in education policy

The Modi government at the Center has approved a new education policy. At the same time, the name of the Ministry of Human Resource Development has been changed to the Ministry of Education. Now, according to the new education policy, the practice of 10 + 2 has been abolished.

It was informed in a press conference held today under the chairmanship of Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank that now 10 + 2 has been divided and molded into 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 format. Which means, now the first 5 years of schools will be in front of the foundation stage, including 3 years of pre-primary school and Std-1 and Std-2. At the same time the next 3 years will be divided into the preparation phase of standard 3 to 5.

Now the report card of the child from first standard to 12th standard will be made
The reportcard will have 3 pages with three types of assessment
On the first page the child will evaluate and write
On the second page the child’s classmate will evaluate and write
On the third page the child’s teacher will evaluate it
What skills a child needs to develop will be written down every year
Upon completion of 12th standard, the student will see the progress of the last 12 years in the report card

There will be a sports based course for children from 3 to 6 years
A national mission will be launched for literacy and numeracy of children aged 6 to 9 years
The biggest change so far was the 10 + 2 system


The new education policy will have a 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 M fifteen year structure
Music and art will be taught in school just like normal subjects
Music and art will no longer be considered extracurricular activities
The approach of Project Bays Learning will be adopted in school education
